The Cable Television Commission consists of five members appointed by the Mayor, with City Council approval. Each member is appointed for a four year term, and must be a resident of the City of Mansfield.

The Cable Television Commission was assembled to address cable issues in the Mansfield are. These issues include educational use, public use and government use through out the greater Mansfield area. Presently, Time Warner Cable provides television cable service to the greater Mansfield area.
